With over 40+ miles of hiking, running and biking trails, Estrella offers great exploring experiences for everyone.
In the Estrella community, we encourage our residents to celebrate life in every direction, giving them opportunities to pursue a wide variety of passions and interests. The Estrella Art Gallery Committee invited Estrella artists to share their favorite works of fine art for exhibition in Presidio, the new residents club in Estrella. One of the most fun groups in our community is the Estrella Mountain Car Club. Founded by residents in 2006, the club operates under the mission to inspire fellow auto enthusiasts, share knowledge, forge new friendships, and support the community. Members boast a wide-range of import and domestic vehicles from the 1930s to brand new – everything from antique cars and restored classics to hotrods and specialty cars.
Yes, pickleball may sound like a game with a funny name, but it is the fastest growing sport in Estrella and in the United States! The sport now boasts more than 2.5 million players. Places to play have risen from 1,400 spots in 2013 to over 3,700 and growing in 2016 as reported by Pickleball Magazine.
Offering nearly 30 resident-organized clubs, Estrella is always buzzing with a packed calendar of social and athletic activities, meetings and events. These groups offer something for everyone and are a chance to get to know neighbors and participate in a variety of fun activities.
High school students know a little about being on the go - between school, homework, extracurricular activities and the all-important – spending time with their friends, learning how to cook quick, healthy meals is a must. Enter the Culinary Club at Estrella Foothills High School. Under Chef Lisa DeCota’s tutelage, students learn a variety of kitchen skills and even cater local events and compete in statewide competitions.
