Six Scenic Golf Spots Near Estrella in the West Valley

When you visit Estrella, you’ll recognize the golf mecca that surrounds you. Arizona is known for being one of the most sought-after golf destinations in the world, and the West Valley is no exception, dotted with scenic year-round golf destinations, many nestled within our distinctive Arizona landscape, dramatic rock outcroppings, hills and stunning desert flora and fauna. Come into town for one of the many PGA tournaments that take place here, stay near Estrella and experience some of these favorites below. Each are less than an hour from Sky Harbor International Airport and offer more economical rates than many other courses in the Valley.

  1. The Golf Club of Estrella

This award-winning, Nicklaus Design course features pristine greens and a challenging style of play. The par 72, 18-hole gem has spacious greens, split-level fairways and gorgeous views of the dramatic desert landscape. The course also features a bar and grill for a relaxing time after the course.

  1. Wigwam Golf Resort

With three spectacular, championship-level courses, you’ll have plenty to choose from at this highly-rated resort. The Wigwam is the only 54-hole golf resort in Arizona and all three courses were designed by renowned golf architects Red Lawrence and Robert Jones Sr. Parallel fairways and greens make finding your ball a breeze. They offer stay and play packages and have even introduced the option of Foot Golf. Played on a golf course with a regulation soccer ball, Foot Golf is a strategic and fast-moving game that golf and soccer lovers are sure to enjoy.
