Goodyear is also less than 15 miles from bustling downtown Phoenix, which has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing tech cities in the nation.
The City of Goodyear hosts a variety of spectacular events throughout the year. From lively cultural celebrations like CulturePOP Block Party to holiday festivities like Hop & Hops Easter Event and Goodyear Glows, Goodyear offers endless activities fit for the whole family. The community is also home to the state’s only premiere hot air balloon festival, the Annual Arizona Balloon Classic. Attracting residents from across the state, the event features colorful hot air balloon races and a variety of local vendors.
Estrella is proud to partner with the City of Goodyear on multiple signature events including Ballet Under the Stars and the Goodyear Lakeside Music Festival. An annual series, Ballet Under the Stars offers the community a free evening of professional ballet performances presented by Ballet Arizona. Additionally, the Goodyear Lakeside Music Festival attracts music lovers of all ages with its live musical performances, delicious food trucks, and beautiful lakeside views. While past headliners have included the rock band Smashmouth, Estrella and the West Valley Arts Council are excited to announce this year’s event will feature the Plan White T’s. Goodyear is the ideal location for anyone seeking an active lifestyle. One of the city’s golden gems, Estrella Mountain Regional Park, offers 33 miles of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding for all skill levels. The park also features two competitive mountain biking tracks and a 65-acre recreation area where families can enjoy a picnic, play volleyball, or go stargazing. Depending on the season, visitors can spend the day bird watching or fishing the Gila River which runs through the scenic mountain range.
Other amenities include Foothills Community Park which offers multiple attractions like three baseball fields, a full soccer field, a BMX pump track, and an outdoor amphitheater, and Goodyear Community Park which includes multiple tennis, basketball and sand volleyball courts, a splash pad, and a dog park. Pet owners can also check out Roscoe Dog Park for a fun afternoon with their fur-babies.

Goodyear is a sports lover’s dream with its pristine golf courses like the Golf Club of Estrella and multiple sports stadiums. Located only 4.5 miles from Estrella, Goodyear Ballpark offers fans an exceptional Spring Training experience with its close proximity to fun activities and restaurants like Dino’s Greek & Italian Grill & Bar and Saddle Mountain Brewing Company. Major sports hubs including State Farm Stadium and Gila River Arena are only 17 miles from the heart of Goodyear, putting fans in the middle of the action.

Located seven miles from Estrella, The Market at Estrella Falls is a premiere destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment. The center features major retailers like TJ Maxx and Home Goods, as well as beloved restaurants like Oregano’s Pizza. Harkins Theaters Estrella Falls 16 is also nearby for anyone looking to enjoy a fun flick. What’s Coming Next?
Goodyear is currently constructing its first-ever recreation campus near Desert Edge High School at Estrella Parkway and Goodyear Boulevard, a short five miles from our master-planned community. Slated to open in 2021, the 48,000-square-foot complex will encompass an aquatics facility, 30-acre park, two baseball fields, softball fields, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, picturesque walking paths, and much more. Additionally, the city is also taking its first steps in building the highly anticipated Goodyear Civic Square at Estrella Falls. Plans for the facility include a city hall, library, two-acre park, and office space.
