The Advantages of Living in a Master-Plan Community
When you hear the words “Master-Plan Community” (MPC), most think of a large subdivision without realizing the advantages the community has to offer. Being one ourselves, we define ourselves as a mixed-use community comprised of villages and neighborhoods that are connected by various trails and lakes. Our master-planned development gives residents the opportunity to explore and seek adventure within the community but yet live comfortably and intimately.
So, still, you might ask, what is a master-plan community?
Planned Housing Communities
A master-plan community typically consists of a large piece of land, which in our case, is a wide range of home designs across four villages and over 72 acres of lakes. Sounds big but we're still growing! Estrella encompasses more than 20,000 acres and 32 square miles in the City of Goodyear, roughly the same size and shape as the island of Manhattan.
Given the large area, master-plan communities typically provide a diverse list of floor plans to help everyone find their dream home. Suitable for homeowners of all kinds, Estrella homes and villages cater to everyone ranging from cozy homebodies and weekend entertainers to first-time buyers, small families, and those seeking active adult living who are 55+. Potential new residents have the option of in-person or virtual tours of Estrella's 25+ model homes or can custom build the home of their dreams - the options are limitless. You can find your perfect home and village here.
Endless Amenities & Activities
On top of a variety of homes to choose from, master-plan communities also offer a wide selection of amenities. Given our residents range from anywhere between young families to older couples, we offer enjoyable things to do for everyone. On top of the 50+ mile hiking and biking path and trail system, Estrella offers an abundance of activities such as three action-packed resident clubs where residents can hang poolside, practice yoga, enjoy an award-winning championship golf course, 72 acres of lakes where residents can fish and kayak, and a village hub called Casa Lucero, where residents will find bike rentals and minor repairs, and Café Bebida, which serves cold brew, coffee, tea, savory treats and more.
Most master-planned communities contain at least one to two schools within the neighborhood and for the children who reside at Estrella, there are educational options for all ages ranging from infant, toddler care and elementary, to high school and collegiate level with nearby college campuses.
Now that you understand what a master-plan community is, we’d like to invite you to check out our desert oasis. We’d love to have you join our community!
