January Events in Estrella and Beyond

Part of the “Good in Goodyear” for Estrella residents is living in the Phoenix West Valley, which offers plenty of events, amenities, and unique experiences for residents to enjoy. Check out this round up of upcoming Estrella and West Valley events happening in January.


While Estrella hosts a full calendar of activities that are only for community members (residents, please see the events calendar at lifeinestrella.com for the full list), a variety of events are also open to residents’ guests and non-residents alike. Come explore the wonderful Estrella community.

January 10: Meet the Artists – Nature Exhibit (residents and their guests)
Visit with the artists of the Nature Exhibit at the Presidio Art Gallery while enjoying art and refreshments.

January 18: Wine Glass Paint Night (residents and their guests)
Enjoy a night of fun and painting at Starpointe Residents Club with professional instructors guiding participants in painting two wine glasses. Snacks and two drink tickets will also be provided.

January 19: Farmers Market (open to the public)
Join us for our monthly farmers market to enjoy local fare, good company, and great shopping. Merchants from across the Valley will showcase specialty items, locally grown produce, fresh breads, pastries, local artwork, and more.

January 25: Brew & Banter (residents only)
Spend time with fellow Estrella neighbors at Brew & Banter. Head over to Estrella Foothills High Café for breakfast and coffee served by EFHS Culinary students.

January 26: Homeless Youth Connection Fundraiser (residents and their guests)
Come enjoy a night dedicated to a good cause. Tickets include appetizers, dinner, two glasses of wine or beer, water, and soft drinks. All profits will be donated to the local Homeless Youth Connection organization.

January 29: Estrella New Resident Mixer (residents only)
If you’re new to Estrella, join us for our bi-annual New Resident Mixer. Meet and mingle with fellow new residents while playing a fun icebreaker game and enjoying free snacks and beverages. There will also be a short community presentation by our lifestyle team. Each attendee who is 21 or older will receive one complimentary wine/beer ticket.

January 1: 48th Annual PlayStation Fiesta Bowl
Kick off the new year with college football at the 48th Annual PlayStation Fiesta Bowl. This year’s match-up will feature No. 11 Louisiana State University and No. 8 University of Central Florida as they face off for the first time in history.

January 12: 24th Annual Glendale Glitter & Glow Block Party
Join more than 80,000 attendees in downtown Glendale for the annual Glendale Glitter & Glow festival. Enjoy glowing balloons, dazzling lights, live music, food, and more.

January 12-13: 7th Annual Surprise Fine Art & Wine Festival
Experience an intimate festival feel at the Surprise Fine Art & Wine Festival. Patrons are invited enjoy wine while viewing artwork covering a wide range of subjects matters and discuss each piece firsthand with the artist. Works from numerous local artists will be on sale at the event.

January 25-27: 8th Annual Arizona Balloon Classic
The Goodyear Ballpark will host the 8th Annual Arizona Balloon Classic. This year’s event will feature the o-so-delicious Street Foodfest. A portion of ticket sales will go toward Valley of the Sun United Way in support of its mission to break the cycle of poverty for Valley families.
