February Events in Estrella and Beyond

Part of the “Good in Goodyear” for Estrella residents is living in the Phoenix West Valley, which offers plenty of events, amenities and unique experiences for residents to enjoy. Check out this round up of upcoming Estrella and West Valley events happening in February. 

While Estrella hosts a full calendar of activities that are only for community members (residents, please see the events calendar at life in Estrella for the full list), a variety of events are also open to residents’ guests and non-residents alike. Come explore the wonderful Estrella community. 

February 16: Estrella Lakeside Farmers Market (open to the public)
Join us for our monthly farmers market from 10am - 1pm. Come out to North Lake to enjoy local fare, good company, and great shopping. Merchants from across the Valley will showcase specialty items, locally grown produce, fresh breads, pastries, local artwork, and more.

February 19: Food Truck Night (open to the public)
Let someone else cook dinner … and dessert! Enjoy the scrumptious offerings of numerous food trucks from around the Valley, including Hibachibot, Twisted Cheese, and Frosted Frenzy. Seating is limited, so bring a camping chair if you have one.

February 22: Comedy Show with Michael Paul (open to the public)
Catch the comedy stylings of comedian, ventriloquist, and improviser Michael Paul, as seen on Comedy Central, Saturday Night Live, and the movie 27 Dresses. The show is rated PG but heavy on adult themes (i.e. divorce, relationships, etc.).

• Cost: $20 adults (Ages 16+), $12 for kids

February 9-10: 24th Annual Chocolate Affaire

The sweetest event in the West Valley, this festival is every chocoholics dream! With candy factory tours, live music, the southwest region’s largest gathering of romance novelists and, of course, LOTS of chocolate, this is a can’t-miss celebration.

• What Time: Sat. 10am-10pm, Sun. noon-5pm

February 9-10: Buckeye Air Fair
Enjoy all things aviation at the 2019 Buckeye Air Fair. Each day features a two-hour air show beginning at noon. Come see vintage and military aircraft, action-packed demonstrations, AZ SciTech exhibitions, live entertainment and more.

• What Time: 9am-3pm
• Cost: FREE general admission, $80 VIP tickets, $10 all-access Kid’s Zone
February 23: Rescue Roundup Public Safety Fair
Make sure you’re in the know for all things public safety with this annual event. Hosted by Abrazo Health, the fair will feature public safety displays, health education, CPR demonstrations, and car seat safety checks, as well as interactive activities for the kids.

February 23: Kiwanis Litchfield Park Run
Whether a 10K, 5K or 1-mile stroll is more your speed, there’s a run for everyone at this fun, annual event.
• Where: Litchfield Park Recreation Center, 100 S. Old Litchfield Rd, Litchfield Park, AZ 85340
• What Time: Registration begins at 6:30am
• Cost: $10 for the 10K or 5K, $15 for the 1-mile run
