32nd Annual Arizona Renaissance Festival
The Arizona Renaissance Festival is a medieval amusement park, a 14-stage theater, a 30-acre circus, an arts and crafts fair, a jousting tournament and a feast -- all rolled into one non-stop, day-long family adventure. The festival is an outdoor event that combines entertainment reminiscent of what may have been found in a 16th Century European village market. With over 2,000 costumed characters, eat a giant roasted turkey leg; take part in games of chance and skill, and explore the Village. Browse through 200 artisan shops displaying their wares. Watch as the ancient skills of glassblowing, leather work, weaving, woodcarving, blacksmithing, candle making and pottery are displayed...it's a true shoppers paradise. The stages are filled with comedy, swordplay, and music - you never know what you will find on or off the stage!

Cactus League Spring Training
Where can you go to see half of the Major Leagues' 30 teams play without having to drive more than 47 miles? That would be the Cactus League, where 15 teams prepare for the season in a relatively tight radius surrounding the beautiful Valley of the Sun. Many of the ballparks are just miles from each other, allowing you an opportunity to check out other venues and games while following your team wherever they go. See a map of participating ballparks throughout the valley. As you plan your trip to Estrella, don't forget that Goodyear Ballpark, home to the Cleveland Indians, and Cincinnati Reds, is right here in our own backyard!
With so many great events happening close by and throughout the valley, it's no wonder why our Residents love to call Estrella by Newland their "home!"
