A Way of Life in the Village of Mountain Ranch in Estrella
Wherever you look in Mountain Ranch, you’ll find things to see and do, and family and friends to join in on all of your activities. Mountain Ranch village is not just about the uniquely beautiful, single-family homes in the High Sonoran Desert, it’s about a way of life.
Mountain Ranch was the first village built in our Estrella master-planned community. Nestled between the North and South Lake, the village boasts all the amenities you need and more. Whatever your passion, you will find interesting activities and like-minded people in Mountain Ranch.
Starpointe Residents Club
You’ll find Starpointe Residents Club on the shore of North Lake, and you won’t want to leave. Have fun with the family in the StarSplash WaterPark where you can enjoy the 12,000 sq. ft. resort-style pool, complete with two thrilling water slides. There’s also a splash bucket the kids just won’t be able to get enough of! If you take your swimming seriously, you will love our three-lane, 25-meter lap pool, and since it’s heated you can take advantage of it year-round.
Enjoy staying healthy at Starpointe’s 3,000 sq. ft. fitness room. Whether you prefer weight training or cardio, the gym is appointed with state-of-the-art equipment to accommodate both. You’ll feel comfortable in this environment whatever your age or fitness level. If you want to stay in shape with a group exercise session, our certified instructors offer a wide variety of classes including yoga, Zumba, Taekwondo, and ballet. You can make full use of the facilities whenever you wish, without having to worry about the kids. Simply drop them off at Starpointe’s Pre-Schooner Club where our trained staff will engage them with dolls, action figures, train sets, games, and playsets. They won’t have time to be bored because our kids’ room is brim-full of toys and activities.
Let’s Get Social
There’s always something going on in the Estrella community. That’s because the Lifestyle Director is busy planning events throughout the year. Gather with friends and family for our annual Goodyear Lakeside Music Festival and dance the night away as local Arizona bands perform. Join us for our unique Independence Day celebration every July 3rd, a fun social event, aglow with stunning fireworks.
Join a Club
What better way to make friends while pursuing your favorite interests than by joining one of many social clubs in Estrella. There’s something for everyone, from sports and sailing to arts and nature. Enjoy your favorite hobby or try something new. You can even start your own club. Once you’ve decided on a club, you can meet at Starpointe’s reservable multi-function rooms where there’s plenty of space for your favorite activities. Here are just a few examples of the different social clubs available to residents:
- Estrella Super Heroes: If you like to make a difference by volunteering, this group is for you. The Super Heroes give their time to organize and participate in fundraising and charity events throughout the community.
- Pickleball: Combine all the fun of table tennis, tennis, and badminton with this racquetball game. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a novice or a veteran, our community pickleball group has several courts to play on.

The Mountain Ranch village is surrounded by breathtaking beauty for all the family. The Estrella community is home to more than 40 neighborhood parks, including Bougainvillea Park in the Montecito village, where you can enjoy wide open, grassy space, a fun playground as well as barbecue and picnic areas. The parks and trails are great places for family fun or hanging out with friends. If you’re in the mood for hiking or mountain biking, there are more than 50 miles of paths and trails to choose from surrounding Mountain Ranch. Take a relaxing stroll along the trails and experience breathtaking views or get your heart pounding by cycling on our bike pump track. As our community grows, so will your outdoor adventures as we create additional paths, trails, and parks.
In addition to parks and trails, the Mountain Ranch oasis benefits from 72 acres of tranquil lakes. North Lake is the place to go if you’re in the mood for sailing, paddle boating, kayaking, or canoeing. The Estrella Yacht Club provides residents with all equipment and vessels needed, free of charge. You’ll be awed by South Lake’s stunning sunsets; this is the place to take a walk on the beach or enjoy a barbecue or game of volleyball. There's no doubt that the lakes provide beauty in the Sonoran Desert and a place for fun activities.
Gazing at Stars
Because the only streetlights in Estrella villages are on the main roads, all your nights will be filled with a heaven full of twinkling stars and memorable moons. To make the most of the spectacular night-time views, wander along our scenic pathway to the 50-foot Star Tower located in our newest village Lucero. It’s worth the climb because you’ll be able to see miles of the Sonoran Desert, and it serves as a fantastic children’s learning adventure. But it’s not only for the twilight hours. With its unique, spiral configuration, Star Tower is also a favorite venue during the daytime.
We understand the importance of childhood education, and residents of Estrella are proud to send their children to schools of excellence. Estrella Mountain Elementary, an International Baccalaureate World School and Westar Elementary, a magnet school for the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program provide quality education for kids in kindergarten through eighth grade, who are encouraged to grow through exploration and interaction. Teens of Estrella benefit from Estrella Foothills High School (EFHS) where they receive an exceptional, enriched education in a fun-filled, creative and nurturing environment. At EFHS students take advantage of necessary courses that prepare them for high school graduation and a university experience.
Here’s to Your Health
Whether you want a regular health check, you’re feeling a little under the weather, or have a medical emergency, Estrella has your medical needs covered with facilities in the community or nearby. One of the many perks of living in the Mountain Ranch village is Elliot Market. It has all the convenience and the ambiance of a local store. Stock up on essentials, beer, bakery items, and gasoline. You can also purchase fresh coffee and lottery tickets and enjoy our traditional soda fountain. Nearby, 22-acre Mountain Ranch Marketplace is Arizona’s first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certified shopping center. It is home to many restaurants and stores including, Taco Bell, McDonald's, Papa John’s Pizza, Leslie’s Pool Supplies, Subway, Oasis Bagels, Walgreens, Safeway, and Great Clips.
