Court Sports in Estrella

Estrella residents love the active, outdoor lifestyle available to them in our Goodyear master-planned community, including an array of sports courts for residents to gather and play their favorite games. Here’s where to find your court.

Volleyball
Friends and family can put teams together and enjoy sand volleyball games at South Lake Park. In addition to volleyball, South Lake Park offers plenty of space for picnics, games, and get-togethers. Enjoy volleyball, picnic tables, grills, and a playground all while taking in the beautiful lakeside view. Additional volleyball courts can also be found at Bougainvillea Park.

Tennis
Playing tennis is a great way to stay active. Whether practicing your serve or playing a friendly match, you don’t need to go far in Estrella to find a court to play on. Tennis courts are located in South Lake Park as well as in CantaMia, our village for those 55 and over.

Pickleball
If you like tennis, then you will love Pickleball. A mixture of tennis and badminton, pickleball is great for players of all ages. There are four dedicated pickleball courts in South Lake Park and six in CantaMia. Estrella also has a 90+ member Pickleball Club for residents of all ages and skill levels. New players can even enjoy a free pickleball lesson to pick up some basic tips and tricks.

Basketball
While walking through Estrella you’re sure to see plenty of pick-up basketball games and you can always head over to the courts at South Lake Park, Starpointe Residents Club and Bougainvillea Park to shoot some hoops. If you have a child interested in basketball, check out The Estrella Youth Sports Club (EYS). EYS organizes winter basketball leagues and provides a safe, healthy, and competitive environment for young athletes. Year-round leagues, camps, and clinics for a variety of other sports are also available.

Baseball
While not technically a “court sport,” Estrella residents can spend the afternoon at D-votion Field across from Estrella Foothills High School to play some baseball or softball. Named in honor of Arizona D-backs fans, D-votion Field is the perfect spot to enjoy the weather and spend time with friends and family.

Along with our many court sports, Estrella offers an abundance of fun-filled amenities for residents of all ages. Whether it’s enjoying our 72 acres of lakes or finding hiking routes through more than 40 miles of paths and trails, there are plenty of activities to keep you busy all year long.
