September: Estrella Events Round-up
While Estrella hosts a full calendar of activities that are only for community members (residents, please see the events calendar at lifeinestrella.com for the full list), a variety of events are also open to residents, their guests and non-residents alike. So come explore the wonderful Estrella community.
September 11: Trivia Night (residents and their guests)
Know any smarty pants? Add them to your four-person trivia team at Starpointe Residents Club. You must sign up before noon on Sep. 15; the entrance fee is $5/person (which gets you pizza, soda, and water and goes toward awesome prizes for the winner); the games begin at 6:30 p.m. Residents – if you bring a guest, be sure to bring your guest pass or the guest fee of $5.
September 13: Meet the Artist Reception (residents only)
Visit Presidio Residents Club to see the new “Mystery” exhibit by Estrella community artists. Meet the artists and enjoy live music from 6:30 – 8 p.m. A cash bar and light refreshments will be provided.
September 15: Estrella Halloween Home Decorating Contest (residents only)
Is your house going to be the most festive on the block for Halloween? Sign up for the Estrella Halloween Home Decorating Contest, where prizes will be awarded for spookiest home, most family friendly and best in show. Online registration opens Sep. 15 and runs through Oct. 13. Register here:
September 16: Estrella Hold’em Poker Tournament (residents only)
Join members of the Estrella Hold’em resident club for a poker tournament at Starpointe. Door open at 6 p.m. and cards fly at 6:30 p.m. The entry fee is $20, there is a $7,000 chip starting stack and the tournament will feature 15-minute levels. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
September 23: Homecoming Parade, Carnival and Football Game (residents and non-residents)
Come experience the small-town community feel of Estrella during our Homecoming weekend.
Hoot and holler for local students at the Homecoming Parade, which will begin at 4 p.m. just west of Starpointe. Enjoy family fun at the Homecoming Carnival on the Estrella Foothills High School soccer field from 5-8 p.m. Pre-sale tickets for the carnival are $10/person and day-of tickets are $15/person, with a $2 discount for EFHS students. Come cheer on the Wolves as they battle the Youngker Rough Riders of Buckeye at 7 p.m. Tickets sold at the door.
September 30: Ballet Under the Stars (residents and non-residents)
Of all the many opportunities to experience the arts in Estrella, Ballet Under the Stars is a local favorite. Free and open to the public, come enjoy performances by the professional dancers of Ballet Arizona at the North Lake Amphitheater from 7-8:30pm. Make sure to come early to get a good seat!
