Resident Clubs from A-Z
Offering nearly 30 resident-organized clubs, Estrella is always buzzing with a packed calendar of social and athletic activities, meetings and events. These groups offer something for everyone and are a chance to get to know neighbors and participate in a variety of fun activities.
From sailing to sports, art and nature, volunteering and more, there is a huge portfolio of interesting clubs and organizations to try something new or hone your craft. Additionally, if you are looking to start your own, the Starpointe staff is very helpful in facilitating the resources to start a new group. Here is some information on a few of Estrella’s most popular clubs:
Get crafty and fuel your passion for art with a wide array of materials and peer demonstrations courtesy of Estrella’s Craft Club. This is the perfect activity to learn a new DIY project or just pass the time with some hands-on fun.
Estrella Super Heroes:
Community events are an excellent way to bring residents together to support a good cause. If event planning is your thing, then Estrella Super Heroes is the club for you. This group volunteers its’ time to help plan many of the fundraising and charity events that take place in the community.
Estrella Youth Sports Club:
The Estrella Youth Sports Club (EYS) is one of the most popular organizations at Estrella. The EYS program organizes leagues, camps and clinics year-round for a wide variety of sports including flag football, basketball, soccer, tennis, girls’ volleyball, baseball, and cheerleading. The program is also great for parents and young adults to feed their passion for sports by volunteering to coach one of the EYS teams, help prep the fields or referee a game.
Is photography your calling? The Estrella Photo Group is bursting with enthusiasm and creativity. President, Alice Slack created the Photo Group to grow her love of photography and share it with others. Slack can teach even the most inexperienced photographer to use composition, lighting, and correct exposure to bring a photo to life. The group also works on developing RAW files in the digital darkroom, post-processing, digital editing, and more.
Pickleball is a fast-growing pastime suitable for all ages. Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. The community is home to a Pickelball group and several courts to enjoying the activity. Whether you’re new to the sport or a seasoned vet, there are plenty of opportunities to participate in Pickleball in the community.
