Fall Decor Tips
We might not have fall weather quite like the rest of the country, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the warm colors and cozy aesthetics that come with the new season. In the spirit of all things harvest - and yes, all things pumpkin- we pulled together some of our favorite decorating trends to bring the spirit of autumn to the Sonoran desert.
The earthy neutrals of fall give us a much-needed rest from the vibrant hues of summer. Trade in your bright yellows, oranges and blues for more muted rusts, sages and buffs. Throw blankets and pillows in this color palette are a great way to cozy up your design. Check out Pantone’s Fall 2015 Color Report for even more inspiration.
Welcome cooler temperatures inside and outside your home by incorporating chunky knits, rustic burlaps, dark mahoganies and wicker baskets into your décor. Snuggling up with some hot apple cider and a good book will have never felt (or looked) better. These textures transition well into winter and the holiday season, so you’ll be able to enjoy these additions well after the last leaf falls.
Whether it’s glittered pumpkins, maple leaf garland, tree bark candleholders, cinnamon scented pinecones or pumpkin-flavored everything, fall is the season of décor DIYs. Check out some of the projects we are planning to try on our Home Décor Pinterest board.
Happy fall decorating!
