Estrella Builder Shines Again

For an unprecedented fourth consecutive year, Rosewood Homes has earned the coveted Eliant “Homebuyers’ Choice Award” for providing the “Best Overall Purchase and Ownership Experience” in North America. Starpointe – The Heart And Soul Of The Community

If the community had a living room where friends and neighbors gather, it would be Starpointe Residents Club. Located on the shore of North Lake, the 24,400 square-foot facility is home to amenities catering to all ages. Some of the most popular features are the StarSplash Water Park, heated lap pool, library, Starpointe Café and state-of-the-art fitness center. Starpointe also plays host to many of the community’s social clubs and events. There is even a dedicated Lifestyle Director whose main focus is developing and creating events, programs and clubs that meet the residents’ needs.

Estrella Joins Pinterest!

Pinterest is the fastest growing social media platform, boasting more than 20 million views per month. The “pinboard-style” photo sharing website allows users to create and manage theme-based image collections on events, interests, hobbies and more. Users can browse boards for inspiration and re-pin images to their own collection for future reference. There are also opportunities to leave comments and “like” images.

Mountain Ranch Marketplace Welcomes New Merchants!

It was an exciting and busy end of the year as Estrella welcomed three new businesses to its Mountain Ranch Marketplace. The much anticipated Walgreen’s held its grand opening just in time for the holidays. The approximately 15,000 square-foot Estrella Walgreen’s showcases a brand new layout which includes sustainable features and revamped interior with an emphasis on offering a range of products and services to help customers get, stay and live well.

Celebrating Successes - Growth In Estrella

Newland Communities is so proud of the growth we saw in Estrella during 2012 with new businesses, wonderful events and many residents making our great community their home. We closed out 2012 with sales close to 30% above 2011’s final numbers and anticipate seeing continued increases throughout the year. We were able to announce new builders, all who will be bringing fresh and innovative homes into the community in 2013.

Fun Art Project Brings Community Together

To show support for Estrella’s excelling schools, Newland Communities organized and helped fund a calendar project featuring the artwork of local students. The calendars were sold for $5 each during the holidays with 100% of the profits benefiting Estrella’s three amazing schools – Estrella Mountain Elementary, Westar Elementary and Estrella Foothills High School.

CantaMia Garners More National Recognition

Over the past two years, Estrella’s CantaMia by Vitalia has received acclaim for the quality of its homes, facilities and aggressive green initiatives. Adding to its list of accolades, the gated active adult community was recently awarded the Peninsula Publishing’s Pubby Award for best “Green Senior Living Community of the Year”.

Estrella’s Lakeside Farmers Market Returns

Fall is upon us, and with autumn comes the return of Estrella’s Lakeside Farmers Market. Held the third Saturday of every month, November through April, the market is open from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The farmer’s market is a great way to enjoy local fare, socialize with neighbors and take in the amazing scenery the community has to offer. This year, the market will be held next to Starpointe Residents Club rather than the Yacht Club.

Trailblazing – Resident Volunteers Expand Our Trails

Living in the Estrella community not only affords a multitude of outdoor recreational opportunities, it provides ways for residents to truly get involved in building their community. Residents can take a scenic stroll, trail run or mountain bike excursion on more than 20 miles of trails nestled inside the community, and may even see resident volunteers hard at work.

Estrella To Host Hometown Race Series
