Estrella Foothills High School: Our Students Get the High-Tech Advantage

Sunday, January 17, 2016

In the fall of 2015, Estrella Foothills High School launched its “Get Connected” program, further demonstrating the school’s strong commitment to bringing enhanced technology to the classroom.

During registration, students are greeted with a Dell laptop computer to be used for the duration of the school year. Estrella Foothills High School is committed to ensuring every student has the equal access to tools and technology that will improve learning and facilitate the ability for teachers to expand their curriculum. Studies have shown that technology in the classroom helps adapt materials to a variety of diverse learning styles and boosts motivation.

As part of the “Get Connected” program, students are able to use the computers both during school and at home, allowing learning to expand beyond the four walls of a classroom.

The program is a district-wide initiative that uses technology to improve communication, collaboration, critical thinking and creativity. “Get Connected” also aims to teach students real world computer skills to better ready them to enter college and the work force.

Estrella Foothills High School is just one of the three outstanding K-12 educational options located inside the Estrella community. To learn more, visit our school page.
