Estrella Voted #1 Master-Planned Community in Arizona

Estrella by Newland Communities, located in Goodyear, Ariz., was recently voted the number one master-planned community in Arizona by Ranking Arizona. This marks the third year in a row Estrella has received this accolade.

Ranking Arizona is the outcome of the largest business opinion poll in Arizona. Each category is selected by the staff of Arizona Business Magazine for the general public to vote on and is based upon business and leisure activities of Arizona's business professionals.

“Since 2006, we have been honored by the readers of Arizona Business Magazine as the best master-planned community in Arizona,” said Greg Bielli, president of the Western Region of Newland Communities, the developers of Estrella. “It’s a testament to the quality of our home builders, the vast array of amenities we offer our residents, and our truly spectacular setting in the Sonoran Desert Valley.”

Now In its 11th season, thousands of Arizona residents cast votes each year during Ranking Arizona’s open call for the public’s opinion with nearly 200 different categories open for public ranking. New categories are added each year to reflect Arizona’s growing and diverse business community. Ranking Arizona is based on opinion, allowing participants to vote on favorite products, services, people and serve as recommendations for other readers.

Newland Communities recently announced more retail amenities are coming to Estrella to further enhance the community and continue to position itself as the leading master-planned community in the state. Residents will soon be able to enjoy Mountain Ranch Marketplace, a 170,000-square-foot specialty retail center, set to open in 2009. Located at the northwest corner of Estrella Parkway and Elliot Road in Goodyear, a 50,000-square-foot Bashas’ Supermarket will be the anchor tenant. In addition to Bashas’, a number of retailers have a strong interest in Mountain Ranch Marketplace including Walgreens, Chase Bank, Mini Skool,  various restaurants, coffee shop, hardware store, dental office, hair and nail salons, realty office and many others.
